As Taiwan has become a WTO member since January 1st, 2002, applications from WTO member countries (except China due to political reasons) may claim priority in Taiwan.
2.
The request of the priority claim will be rejected if the trademark to be filed in Taiwan is not the same as that in the corresponding trademark application for the priority claim.
3.
If the scope of designated goods/ services is larger than that in the corresponding parent application, the goods/ services will be requested to delete in order not to jeopardize the priority claim for the trademark application in Taiwan. Or, the request of the priority will be rejected.
