	Kinds of patent: invention, utility model & design.
		Duration:
		‧Invention: Validates from the date of publication not exceeding 20 years from the date of filing. ‧Utility Model: Validates from the date of publication not exceeding 10 years from the date of filing. ‧Design: Validates from the date of publication not exceeding 12 years from the date of filing.
		Annuity:The annuity can be paid in whole or partly.
		A patent application, after publication, shall have the ad interimeffect of having a patent right. The patentee has the right to restrain other persons from selling or manufacturing.

		Duration:Ten years from the date of registration. Further ten-year duration period can be extended by filing trademark renewal within 6 months before the expiration.
		Publication: 3 months.
		During publicaton or after publication, the interested parties can file opposition or invalidation against the marks, if they think the marks damage their rights.
		Without good cause, the trademark/service mark has not been put into use for three years after registration, or has been continuously suspended from use for three years, the government office in charge of trademark matters shall, ex officio or at the request of an interested party, cancel the registration.
		When a trademark proprietor uses a registered trademark which due to any unauthorized alternation or addition made therein, has become similar to another person's registered trademark in respect of the same goods or goods in the same class, the right to exclusive use of the trademark shall be cancelled by the Trademark Authority, ex officio or upon request of an interested party.


		The author of a work shall enjoy copyrights upon completion of the work. No registration is required or available.
